Farm Visit

Bring your family to visit the farm! Your visit is free, but we welcome your donations.

Although we are a private business, we open our farm to the public to visit

  • Monday to Friday 3:30pm to 7pm
  • Weekends & holidays 9am to 5pm
  • No free visits in October -- instead visit our Pumpkin Fest .

You can visit the horses, goats, chickens and ducks, or just play on the tire swing. Free visits do not include any tour -- you're on your own! Please read and follow our rules.

Note, due to private events we may rarely need to close on occasion. Feel free to send us a text to confirm we're open, or just show up! Although you're welcome to, there's no need to check at the office in when you arrive. If you have a group and would like a tour, please contact us for tour options.

Although your visit is free, we do welcome donations large or small to keep our small farm operating. You can leave cash in a donation box at the farm or send an e-transfer to donation@southlandsfarm.ca

Pony Rides

We usually offer Pony Rides most weekends and holidays from 12-2. You can drop in, but they often fill up in advance. You can register here.

Farm Rules

1) No Smoking anything anywhere on the property.

2) Don’t run or yell near the horses, and never approach a horse from behind.

3) Don’t let the goats out! They will try to escape. Keep the gate closed!

4) Don’t stick your finger in the horse’s mouth. The horse will assume it’s a carrot. Please don’t feed any of our animals!

5) Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

6) Do NOT pick any of our fruits or berries. We do not offer U-Pick — we offer them for sale at our market.

7) Don’t say “BE CAREFUL”. Instead say “What would happen if…”

8) If you drop it, pick it up.

9) Watch your children near the pond.

10) Our animals are not pets -- they can bite, kick, peck, sting, knock you over, or otherwise hurt you. Please use care around the animals, and keep your children close.
